An Alien's Land Holding Licence is a requirement for all non Caricom Nationals, and must be obtained by a local lawyer. The licence is permanent, for the specific property, and is non-transferable. There is a non-refundable application fee of EC$1,500, following which the parties enter into an Agreement of Sale and the purchaser pays a deposit. The process takes approximately six weeks to six months.
